  5. Internal Organizational Structure

The Mama Zahra Foundation operates with a clear structure to ensure effective leadership, management, and oversight of its programs. The following is the revised organizational structure:

President

The President serves as the highest authority within the organization, providing overall strategic guidance and governance. The President ensures that the organization stays true to its mission and objectives, while working closely with the Executive Director to ensure that policies are effectively implemented.

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the foundation. The ED plays a crucial role in designing and implementing the organization’s strategic plans, managing staff, and ensuring that MZF’s programs are delivered effectively and efficiently. The ED reports directly to the President and oversees the entire team.

The Finance Manager is responsible for managing MZF’s financial operations. This includes budgeting, financial planning, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. The Finance Manager ensures transparency and accountability in the handling of the organization’s funds and resources.

The Program Manager oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of MZF’s programs and projects. They ensure that the organization’s interventions are effective, timely, and aligned with the overall mission and objectives of MZF. The Program Manager works closely with field staff, partners, and the Executive Director to ensure that projects meet community needs and standards.

The HR Manager is responsible for managing the foundation’s human resources needs. This includes recruitment, training, employee welfare, and ensuring that MZF maintains a motivated, skilled, and effective workforce. The HR Manager ensures that the organization complies with labor laws and best practices in staff management.

The Field Manager oversees MZF’s field operations, ensuring that programs are successfully executed on the ground. This role involves managing logistics, coordinating with local authorities, and working closely with the community to monitor the implementation of projects. The Field Manager also acts as the main point of contact between the organization and the communities it serves.

The coordinator works across various departments and plays a central role in coordinating activities, resources, and communications between the office and the field. They support the management team in ensuring that the operational and strategic goals are met, and they assist in organizing meetings, reporting on progress, and facilitating the smooth flow of information within the organization.

The Mama Zahra Foundation is a beacon of hope and change in Somalia. By addressing critical needs through community-led initiatives, empowering vulnerable populations, and fostering sustainable development, MZF is making a lasting impact. Through strong partnerships and a commitment to human dignity, we continue to build a future where all Somali people can live with dignity, opportunity, and peace.
